The road to the driver's license
Driver's license permit
To start your education, you first need to apply for a learner's permit from the Swedish Transport Agency. The learner's permit is proof that you are allowed to practice driving and take the driver's test. You will receive the permit if you are considered suitable as a driver, taking into account your personal and medical conditions. The learner's permit is valid for 5 years.
Driving practice
From when you have turned 16 and have a valid learner's permit, you can start practicing driving. For private practice driving, both the learner and the supervisor must have completed an approved introductory/supervisor training. The supervisor also needs a valid supervisor permit to prove that they meet the requirements as a supervisor. Take the course with us!
Driver's license theory
The theoretical part of the driver's license should be conducted in parallel with driving practice and practical training at the driving school. Once you have paid for a starter package or theory fee, you will receive your books and can start studying on your own. Through Elevcentralen, you can take practice exams that will assist you during your theoretical studies.
Risk education
The risk training is mandatory and consists of two parts. Part 1, riskettan, is a training on alcohol, drugs, fatigue, and risky behaviors and can advantageously be booked with us early in the driver's license training. Part 2, risktvåan (skid pad), is a practical training where you as a student will learn about speed and safety when driving under special conditions, such as slippery surfaces. Risktvåan is conducted at the end of the training. The risk training must be completed and approved before the knowledge test and driving test are conducted.
Driving test
When you as a student have practiced driving, studied driver's license theory and carried out driving lessons, it is time for a driving test. The driving test is no longer a comprehensive driving test, which means that the knowledge test must be passed before the driving test can be conducted. The knowledge test is valid for 4 months from the day of the test.
